To Whom It May Concern,
RE: Reference for Southern Africa Youth Project as a Union Training Provider
I am pleased to provide this reference for the Southern Africa Youth Project (SAYP) in support of
their application as a training provider for shop stewards within the Health and Social Development sector.

I have worked closely with SAYP over the past three years in various community development
initiatives, and I have consistently observed their commitment to capacity building, particularly
among youth and worker representatives. Their approach to training is professional, structured, and
tailored to address complex workplace challenges, including occupational health and safety (OHS) concerns.

SAYP has demonstrated strong project management skills, coordinating multi-stakeholder
engagements, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and providing timely reporting on
program outcomes. Their trainers are highly experienced in labour relations, union representation,
and workplace safety, ensuring that participants receive both theoretical knowledge and practical
skills applicable in their roles as shop stewards.

Based on my experience, I confidently recommend SAYP as a qualified training provider capable of
delivering a robust, compliant, and impactful OHS skills programme for HWSETA.

Should you require further information, I can be contacted at 073 478 9071.

Sincerely,

Pamela Chauke
